WTB: BMW Performance Rear Brakes
Hey yo, I already have the front 6-piston 338/26mm performance brakes, but the previous owner never fitted the rears.
I am looking for everything required to convert the rear of my E87 to the 2-piston caliper and larger 324/22mm disc. |

I have the calipers but you will need either the discs to suit an E90 or 135i discs and hubs.

I'd be interested in the calipers.
I've tried searching for a straightforward description of what is required to convert, but can't find anything easily digestible. So with the twin-piston calipers, it would only be a case of changing out my stock discs for the E90 discs? |

Yes, it's that simple but in reality it is not. The discs are extremely rare but I did see Zimmermanns on ebay/runautoparts recently.
If you can't source discs locally then your next bet is importing them from Europe as there are several aftermarket choices available. It makes a 135i hub and bearing swap seem far more straightforward as all the parts can be sourced locally (even if you have to buy knuckles from a wrecker to harvest the hubs). Wheel bearings are easy to get. The handbrake should be fine as 130i uses the large handbrake. The only other option that I considered is the 330i/335i rear brakes. Easy to find calipers, carriers and discs. Pads have tons of choice. I have F30 335i calipers on my front axle. I have the F30 335i rear calipers handy also but it takes some custom work to make them fit for several reasons. Waiting on some scrap F30 discs from work to mock it up. Send me a PM when you've sorted out some discs |

I have the 135i/BMWP rears on mine.
I don't know about what other equivalents fit, but know for sure these are direct bolt on: 34216795755 You'll need to trim your brake ducts to fit the rear caliper.

If anyone comes across rear discs 34216795755 I’m after a set also.
Edit: found these which seem to match. Sparesbox is out of stock so I ordered off eBay. https://www.sparesbox.com.au/part/br...ear-09-c246-11 Last edited by Rajvosa; 04-17-2020 at 11:14 AM.. |
