Hello wanted to see if anyone from Switzerland is available for a quick meet? My first leg will be in Zurich. I'll be visiting this weekend!

Thanks!

1M is a best seller here, you can see at least 1 or 2 per week.

ahh ok.

On another note, I received two speeding tickets from the Stadt police at my residence in NY. Both for going 2KM over the speed limit and 40 euro fee each.

Very unhappy right now.

Be grateful that it was only 40 euros. I have a buddy that was 7 km over the speed limit and had to swallow a 250 Euro fine.

The Swiss are anti car(culture). IF they catch you speeding more than 40 kph, they can legally TAKE your car!! Thats nuts. Blitzers(photo radar) for loud exhaust sys - its out of control there. Or too much control - point of view. lol

When ever I visit Swiss, I always try to stay in Italy or Austria. I'm not a fan of Switzerland's high prices for everything.

I tried so hard not to speed, and with no radar detector I even tried harder, Still got busted.

Yep. You have to know where to look for the radar cameras. On highways they put them behind the over head/road signs. They take a pic at point A and then check you again at B and C points. The Swiss most of the time take your [icture from behind like in Austria. Especially in tunnels. Plus some of the newer "Blitzers" don't flash red or white strobe light. The new ones has an UV black flash that humans can not see. Its rough driving fast in CH.

Check out what the Germans do to catch speeders... then multiply that by x20 and you get the idea how the Swiss cops behave.

Achtung! Polizei...
