Clear bra on front lip/splitter

I have a Kerscher front lip arriving soon and would like to apply some type of protectant to it. My first thought was a clear bra but then a detail shop recommended I use some clear plasti dip instead. Sounds great, cheap and easy, but I’m dubious of its level of protection compared to a clear film.
Just curious if anyone can recommend or shoot down either method as it relates to a splitter or similar. Recommendation on clear bras welcome. If I go that route I’m leaning towards Suntek or Xpel. Thx

Clears bra will give you invisible results.

Plastdip will give you a matte finish. Both should protect the lip great. Just remember to use a lot of plastdip. The thicker the better.

Underside of my front bumper was always scratching. I made a temp scrape guard with thick plastdip. Didn't rip and protected the bumper.

I would go with an Xpel clear bra. Your gonna have to put so many coats of clear plasti dip on. Then its gonna be a real PITA to remove IF it doesn't look good. A clear bra will look good and protect your car well.

I cant comment on the protection of either but wanted to comment they have a gloss clear plastidip now: https://www.dipyourcar.com/Glossifier.html if you decide to go that route and dont want the matte look.

Yeah, that's what was recommended to me by the detail shop. I have ordered some 3M film, we'll see how it turns out.

You have to be careful with that however. It's hard to peel off and doesn't behave like regular plastdip. Best way to remove it would to use their thinner which could potentially damage the lips clear coat.
