Window tint - Huber Optik???

Which brand have people been using for window tint? Also has anyone used Huber Optik? I've heard it has the best heat reduction values but I can't seem to find any websites for it or any dealers in the North Carolina area that carry it. Any advice??? Thanks in advance.

Whether it's the best for you would depend on what you're looking for.

Huber's main claim to fame is that it offers good heat rejection while appearing very light in color. So if you did not want to make the windows very dark, or if NC laws restricted how dark you could make the windows, you could get more heat blockage from Huber films than you could from others for the same level of darkness.

The downside is that Huber will be much more expensive than other films to install.

I don't know if you'll find Huber dealers in NC.

Ended up going with 3M, looks good with the TiAg. Couldn't find anyone who carried Huber. One thing though.... there are a few little "3M" symbols in the tint. I noticed this after I got home and kinda freaked out (never used 3M before). Do these little "3M's" fade or do they continue to standout?!?!? I'll post some pics tomorrow.

The little 3M text should be wiped off by you after 3 days of install. The installer should have told you to do it. It will not fade on its own.

Simple...get an alchohol pad...yeah, the kind at the doctor's office before a blood draw...etc.

One or two pads should do it...wipe the 3M from the inside of the windows..comes right off.

oh yeah...one more thing.

When I got mine installed...the flipped the window dust seals. I was not to open the windows for 3 days.

They then stuck some plastic wedge thing...and flipped them back into place.

If they did this to yours...and they do not flip them back..the windows will have a hard time rolling down...and if you succeed...they will stay stuck open. The seals will effectively prevent them from coming up due to the safety sensors...they meet resistance and stay open. Just an FYI.

Rubbing alcohol will get those 3M marks out. The installer should have done that for you. BTW, I have a company which installs 3M film, but not for cars - commercial and residential only.
