Exactly haha. Yeah, it sucks a lot since this hasn't happened in 3 years having it, but at least no structural damage I guess.

Would somebody confirm this set works as the front control arm 1M upgrade for me?
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-trw-part...1102283577mkt/

Figure I should get this out of the way before I go too far down the wheel spacer road...

So, I have a debacle. I'm looking at new head units for my car since the dead pixel monster is making itself known. I'm leaning towards one of the newer Sony units with CarPlay (was looking at Xtrons, but quality is a concern). Obviously I need a trim piece with the right cutout, as well as an adapter harness (Spiral Audio has good ones). Anything else I'd need for installation? Any issues anyone's experienced with removing the stock head unit? Anyone have a good review of the Xtrons unit (I like the adaptability of the Android platform, and the fact that it's cheaper and comes with everything necessary to install)?

Thanks!

Transmission flush + filter + UUC poly trans mounts.

Unfortunately it's too little too late. Under load my 5th gear slips horribly bad and the trans goes into panic mode.
So looks like I'm in the market for a JY trans to rebuild. Not looking forward to this.

One of the arms is a bear to get into the subframe. At the end of this post is a trick I wish I had seen before installing mine.

I'm on the xtrons unit. I'm not mad about making the jump. It does what i bought it for.

BUT,
If you're not on a data plan you can tether with it can't do anything cool. GPS only works if you download maps (I haven't explored this much honestly). And it has most of the typical generic Android bloat, shit you'll never need/use.

For me, it displays MHD gauges 75% of the time. Nice because I can actually read it and it doesn't fall out of a mount.

I just did the wired backup camera option last weekend finally. So simple it hurts. All you honestly do is connect the wire on the back of the radio labeled backup cam, to the wire on the camera and plug the cable in and it works.
Thing I missed was turning the option on for the radio to power that wire ... have to go into the factory settings menu and turn it on (code is 126).

Much appreciated, thanks. Any insight as to the audio quality and the overall reliability of the unit?

My car came with 8" subs and no tweets.
So I upgraded to Alpine and 10". Stock radio, meh sound. Clear but no midrange.
On the Xtrons you get a digital eq and it does help. But the audio still isn't what I'd call good. It's clean and distortion free. Just not audiophile I'd like. This is probably due to the amp being tuned to play with the base audio, it has a built in eq curve. A real amp with no artificial eq and I bet audio would shine.

It's the red calipers. I had them blue for 2 years!!

Well I got my MILVS in the mail. Excited to install them, but I need to get a tune first lol.

Debate: Are MILVS bolt-on, or since we're changing internal engine bits are we beyond that?

1M front control arms on the way, along with a 1M headlight leveling sensor rod.

Clearly there's an alignment in my near future as well!

Took out the rear seat of the e88....

Sorry, bad lighting

so I could cut these stupid head rest stops off...

so I could lower the rear head rests. Don't know why they had to make the rear head rests in the '12-'13 e88s to where they couldn't be pushed all the way down.

Drove back from St. Augustine. It's a beautiful city, full of history & ghost tales. It's the oldest city in the US.

Anyway, 2.5 hours in mixed dry & wet road conditions on the new FFIndy tires. Smooth drive, no issues or drama.
