Well done, OP! I remember seeing a San Marino blue M6 at my local dealer and the car literally stopped me in my tracks. So bravo for saying screw the 1/7xx made and making it your own; that's what it's all about! (At the end if the day it was a $55k car new; not exactly Enzo territory...)

The color was jet black - just pure black. But in the engine, I think BMW just spray a base color on the M3's. Not much you can see anyway. Pretty packed in there already

my interlagos blue m3 is the same way. The inside of the bay is sort of a flat dark blue. It looks like it is the base blue used for the IG just without flake and clear.

Only 740 for the US market. OP is in Switzerland... I believe the Swiss only got about ~100 1M's. BMW built about ~6,800 1M's for all of the entire world market(s).

BMW planned to produce 2700 1M

But due to its amazing success, they made their maximum

Resultat : 6309 1M were produced

Despite that, resale value for the 1M's is amazingly high. Let's see when the M2 comes, if the 1M will become an outdated product of if it will stay as a collection model.

Sorry dude I did hadn't seen your answer when I posted mine.

I think nobody really knows how many 1M there is Switzerland. My dealer was supposed to get 4 of them. In the end they delivered something like 14 cars ^^

The same with the M3 GTS. Supposed to get only one, number 68 I think.
But suddenly, they got Nr. 118 and 123.

I think the swiss market is sooooo special

guys,

you are all crazy man. i just didn't look 1 day into the topic and there are a mass of new messages. great!

first of all: before painting the car i was thinking about selling and change to a m4 (or wait for the m2). my decision finally was to keep the 1M! so i won't sell it in the next years. the car is not leased aswell.

the 1M is rare in the market and the prices are extremely stable at least here in switzerland.

the car has been painted completely except engine bay.

i'm also ready to take some pictures together with other fans living close to me.

more pics will follow, for sure!
