JB4 Map 7

Just wondering if anyone on here runs Map 7 (100+ octane) daily with their JB4. Please include a brief performance mod list.

I do...
Mods are listed in my signature. When I run map 7 i put 100% meth and 50/50 e85/93. With this set up my octane should be alittle over 100. I leave it on map 7..then when i dont have access to e85 i switch to map 3. I wouldn't run map 7 on meth alone. or on an e85 mix alone. But when i run BOTH meth and e85 at the same time then I have a field day with map 7...

Now, there is no fail safe for map 7 so running it with only meth can be risky because it wouldnt be good if for whatever reason meth stops spraying while at WOT...

I don't have meth at all. Why wouldn't you run Map 7 on a 50/50 e85/e93 mix?

Because I don't feel that a 50/50 mix would undoubtably put me past 100 octane. It might be RIGHT at 99/100 but considering that e85 may be as low as 70% ethanol, makes me doubt...I just feel safer/comfortable knowing that the addition of meth surely puts me past 100 oct.

And plus i couldn't pump that much e85 on a stock lpfp without meth anyways...

So why not do a 55/45 or 60/40 mix and feel safe? Do you feel that 99 octane would not be safe/yield equal gains as 100 octane?

Ok well perhaps an upgraded lpfp is in the works for me down the road. I haven't had problems running 50/50 mix on Map 7 so far though, but I don't have months and months of experience with Map 7. I have been running 35/65 mix on Map 5 for the past year with an occasional 50/50 Map 7.

Yea, usually you can pump 30-40% e85 without runnning into headaches, USUALLY. Once you start creeping past 40% on a stock lpfp then you are more at risk of having unclean logs. but every car is different. I would do some logs with the 50/50 e85 mix and send to terry so he can verify if everything looks ok.

Occasionally run 100 as a DD on Map 7. JB4/ISO/BMS flash, charge pipe & FMIC. Solid logs. I would not do it without making logs. You could be running "OK" but the car can be pulling timing.

ive done some 50% 100 + 25% e85 + 25% 91 - throw on map 7 and hold on tight.
car feels like a monster. would love to get it on a dyno and she what she pulls with that good gas.

I remember that Terry specifically said that using the walbro 255 pump is NOT for stock turbos. Do you have RB's or something?

I ran e50 in map 7. Sent the logs to Terry and re responded it looks good. Depends on the weather though. Sometimes my fuel pump has trouble keeping up. Time for a upgrade!
