Looks like the tire bubbled, most likely the wheel is bent just below there.

Yeah, that looks a lot like my tire after a pothole impact - definitely had to replace it.
Huge damage. On the plus side, non-RFTs are a lot less harsh over potholes and (I think) less likely to fail in that same manner. |

whenever you have side damage like that, it you can expect to replace the tire. It would never be a good idea to fix that.

Have the old tire removed, and have the old wheel spun on the wheel/tire machine, you will see a bend if there is one. If not, when the new tire is mounted, pay attention to how much weight it requires to balance it.

Not sure for BMW but on my Infiniti, I had to bring it to dealer to have the new sensor sync up with the car.

I'm 99% sure the TPMS sensor will sync just fine after you reset the system. I think the interface to them is in the wheel wells so it'll read whatever sensor is there - I don't think they have to be explicitly paired. |

Yes, but you will need to follow the steps to clear the code. You can have it done at a major tire store, like Discount Tire, otherwise call your service rep, and ask them how to clear the code.

Email your city council or CEO about the pothole and having your wheel and tire repaired by the city or county.

Yep.. worked for me here in ATL though. I ran over a huge pot hole off of Lenox Road once. I reported it, got my wheel repair fee taken care of and actually made money since I know someone in the business lol :w00t:
Btw, the TPMS sensors should sync properly
