All seasons can go 35K-40K; max performance summers like the MPSS, about 30K. I thought about going with all seasons for that reason, but since I'm in Florida, decided that would just be a shame.

Drove it home with the new tires yesterday evening. Feels like a new car. Looking forward to my 37 mile commute this morning.
Thanks for all the feedback guys. Still looking forward to reading a report from the first Continental Extreme Sport buyer.

^^ Great choice on the MPSS. I couldn't be happier with mine...upsized to 225/255 on factory 261M's. I've got Conti ExtremeContact DWS06 on my X5, great tire. Don't have any experience on the ExtremeSport summers.

MPSS...I opted for these recently in place of the factory Bridgestone RFT's...what a difference! Can't comment yet on the wearability, we've only got about 5K on them so far.

I love the continental Extreme contacts for the front and rear, but sadly I have the 560 treadwear DWS versions for the rears because I got it used and they were brand new but they hook up decent when warmed up. I did figure though since you cannot rotate why not have longer wearing rear tires. Maybe less grip but they don't make the car feel strange or anything.

I'm on the MPS4S. Recommend to anyone who has money to burn. Otherwise the Indy 500 are perfectly adequate and *much* cheaper. Only reason I even get the Michelin's is because my local America's tire is good on the warranty. 255/225 of course. |

My SS are lasting a lot longer than the A/S3 I had. The A/S3 did not have enough grip to keep from spinning in the first 3 gears.
