These must be very new to the parts catalog. A search at Tischer and United came up empty.

Found a bigger pic. Looks like the BMW Retrofit kit is made by PHILIPS
Zoom in on the top pic and you'll see EDIT: Looks like these to me.. HUGE RES PIC: http://download.p4c.philips.com/file...ledx1_rtp_.jpg http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...tn=12824WLEDX1 Amazon: http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00440CWEO?m...ealoversand-21 OK so maybe not EXACTLY like the BMW ones... EDIT2: Ok so i found the exact ones in the retrofit kit. Model no: 12810WLEDX1 By philips HIGH REZ IMG: http://download.p4c.philips.com/file...ledx1_rtp_.jpg http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...tn=12810WLEDX1 Amazon: EUR 105,05 http://www.amazon.de/Philips-12810WL.../dp/B002KKCLLE So question is.. Which ones are better.. These or the HELLA ones? These PHILIPS ones seem to have too much of a yellow tinge to me... So if they are in fact like this in real life, i will be staying away and rather go for HELLA. Last edited by aacabriolet; 11-30-2010 at 06:08 PM.. |

Hella LEDayline: (for comparison)
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7751 I would not fit them there myself personally, but I think they look more superior to the PHILIPS ones. $300 though.. quite expensive |

I think they look great. It's just too bad Merc, Porsche, and Audi are all doing these LED strips now, plus every other rice burner (and VW turned rice) sports them now, so it just feels like being a copycat. BMW has a good thing going with the angel eyes, they look great, and nobody has really copied it yet except a few ricers (they ruin everything don't they?) and the new Camaros.
It's kind of a shame, I personally think it looks cool, it's just played out. Kind of like leather pants.

I have seen the Philips DRL leds sold in the German grocery stores for 130 euros. Not a big fan of these LED's. Just about every tuned Golf and what not has LEDs on their cars. Looks trashy if you ask me.
FYI... here are some pics of the the Tune It Safe 123d e82 seen at Essen Motor Show. |

Any idea what brand / model those LED's were? They don't seem like the Philips or Hella ones? |

Wonder how much they go for and whether AC Shnitzer would have them here in SA...highly doubt it though.. they'll probably just give me a blank stare Would be cool if i could find a part number somewhere! Oh and you're right about Hella being the ones that make them, just picked up the hella badge on the splitter under the LED's in the above pic |

I just spoke with my dealer and they don't even have a listing in the system. Not that I think I want it, but it would be nice to at least know.

If they designed them with a piece so they looked molded in I would buy them, but not now. I have always loved rolling around with Angels and Fogs
