I raced all types of open wheel cars in my life.... from shifter karts to formula atlantic. Star mazda and indy lights. The top down and dct is the closest I've gotten to the cars I've driven. But now I can also drink my coffee in the mornings. Since I'm a left foot braker, and it blips the throttle for me.... I can now enjoy a smooth entry and exit with with a little trail brake on the way in and a tad bit of power brake on the high speed turns when the car gets loose.
I love everything about it. I use shaped skis now too. And I have a smart phone and I. Own a dvr. I'm just glad cars finally got the tranny right... no more vintage driving like I did in my 63 vw. |

O well..guess I wont be looking at the 1M afterall
Ive never learned stick and never have any desire too, driven autos my whole life, and steptronic and DSG (GTI) trans are amazing to drive as well as being very comfy and easy during traffic and daily driving. I figure, unless I lived out in the mountains of montana or some shit, thered never be any reason for me to drive a MT car, nor would I ever get the enjoyment out of it. I am plenty happy shifting the steptronic thru the gears with no clutch pedal bs, etc. Even with these supposed latest interviews, etc. I still feel that BMW WILL offer the dct probably half a year to a year later as an add on option, prob $1k or something close such as it is now on the 1er. |
