BMW Performance Springs on M Sport Shocks?

I have a set of low-mile M Sport shocks, and may be getting some M Performance springs.
Would I be making too much of a compromise by installing the Performance springs onto the M Sport shocks? From what I understand the difference in ride height is only about 10mm, but are the spring rates different enough to the point that it matters?

Car is a daily driver in the northeast. Currently riding on ~123k mile non-sport springs and ~60k mile stock replacement shocks. So really anything is an upgrade.

Car is a fairly-base 128i 6-speed, so I presume it would take the "lightest" version of the Performance springs.

Open to suggestions here. If it's a bad idea, I'll get one of the Bilstein options. I'd rather spend the money on the shocks up front versus have to redo the labor in 5k miles because the shock/spring combo sucks.

I wouldn't consider 60k mileage stock shocks low mileage. Mine were blown at around 70k miles. I have the full Mperformance suspension and it's a great street setup. The shocks are NLA so consider Koni or Bilstein. I recently broke a rear shock and replaced them with Koni special active. Didn't get enough drive time to make a real judgement before I parked it for winter.

^ I should have clarified. The M sport shocks I have, which are not on the car, are low mileage.

The shocks on the car (128i non-sport) have around 60k. Fronts are OE replacement and seem fine, but the rears are Bilstein stock replacements and look pretty rusty (on a car that's otherwise very clean underneath).

FWIW - I had MSport springs and dampers on my car and changed out to BMWP Springs and Koni Sports. The ride is firmer & more controlled yet more comfortable over bad roads.

T1 are the softest of the BMWP springs, but they're still about 10% stiffer than stock from what I can tell and they will lower you a little from the M-Sport ride height. I'm sure you could use the M-Sport shocks, but they're not going to be valved perfectly since they were designed for a slightly softer spring. Will you notice? Who knows. They should be a little less controlled or "bouncy," but the difference may be negligible. Ideally, you'd be better off with something like the B8, but the M-Sport would probably suffice.

T1 are for the 128i primarily, T2 if you have a heavily-optioned 128i. You would want either T3 or T4 if you have a 135i. If you're looking for the 123d, I don't know. Somewhere there is a spring guide that matches your options with the recommended spring.

The spring selector was available online but got taken down some time ago. (If anyone knows where it is now, that would be nice to know)

I bought my BMWP springs through getbmwparts.com
Just send them an email, they will find the right springs based on the VIN.

Old thread, but I ended up selling the M sport shocks pairing the BMWP springs with Koni orange shocks. Only have great things to say.

I bought mine from them also. Paired with Koni Sports and very pleased as well.
