Ok, here we go. after a long stint with few different M cars, mainly M3's, i have decided to try something different. Have for a while wanted to venture into the turbo territory and found 135's quite enticing but the fact that it wasnt an M car as well as the resale value being poor, I got lucky and scored myself a 1M.

(before you ask me why i didn't get another M3, i actually did buy an E92 M3, white, BBS wheels, and after aggreeing on price, the seller took a higher offer the next day. worse of all, after we agreed i said would you like a deposit and he said, nah ill hold the car for you. year right haha).

I have had the 1M for under a week and so far i am absolutely loving it. the torque it makes in low rpm is phenomenal and it means you can have fun without ringing the neck off it. Have a few plans for it, mainly good detail and wheel refurb. then maybe look at a few power mods, such as downpipes, intake, tune and maybe intercooler. anyways here are a few crappy pics!

Funny part is once you tune it, it's like all the other tuned 135s. But the body kit and suspension is what really sets it apart from the 135i. Enjoy it!! Can't wait to see what you have in store

Alpine white is the cleanest color I think.

Not exactly, Factory 1m has slightly larger turbos 2-3 mm bigger inlet (measured against stock 135i units), high flow primary cats, dry sumped gearbox, LSD

They do make a little more power than a standard 135i even when tuned.

Brakes discs are bigger, larger engine fan, additional radiator and the list goes on and not just the suspension.

I forgot about the LSD
2 radiators? I've never heard of that in a car lol

nope the Left hand front vent has a extra radiator

Sounds like the 1M is the 135i with the PPK (engine wise)

yes it has the ppk standard inc the 850w engine fan plus high flow primary cats, bigger turbos that can hold and make 20 psi+ to redline without breaking a sweat.

just had a set of Yokohama AD08R put on, have had them in the past and absolutely love them.



Went to a track day for a bit of fun. car did well and i had lots of fun.

Still loving this little pocket rocket! the insane amount of low end torque makes it so fun.
Done a few little maintenance items that have really given it a boost in power. it feels quite a bit more responsive and the acceleration is more aggressive.

at 113,000kms i have had the carbon build up taken care of. Usually the common method is to get it walnut blasted. I was bored one day and just wanted to see how much build up there was on my car especially not knowing if it had ever been done previously. Well there certainly was carbon build up but didnt look as bad as i have seen online. i decided to give it a shot by hand. basically using carby cleaner and variety of brushes etc... came up really good. doesnt leave it shiny and new lookin as walnut blasting does, but it has taken the carbon off the valves and ports which is the main thing. it does take quite of a bit of time which is annoying haha.

also had new spark plugs and ignition coils done. the car is running great and feels noticeably stronger than before.

Getting her detailed next week and also hopefully getting the wheels refurbished. Still happy with stock power but i am sure a tune will be coming soonish.

how's the fitment on the corners of the lip spoiler (close up pic?). Do the edges stick up and not confirm to the boot?

Fitment is great I must say. I didn’t put double sided tape on about last 5mm of spoiler but it’s not noticeable. Sits great and for 220 USD shipped in great value

Hmm yes and no. They are very different cars and both so so enjoyable. I’ve never had a turbo so it’s great to have all this low end torque on tap. I do prefer the feel of thrashing an e46 m3 compared to 1M as I feel you work harder to keep it on the limit. For now this baby is staying haha
