Condensation/Water from Dash
So the other day driving to work the AC had water condensation coming out of the vents onto the dash. I posted a few pics as well, they are camera phone while driving so dunno how great the quality is. Let me know if anyone else has experienced this.

That is probably where the venting is routed under the dash. If the AC is cold and there is still a lot of humidity in the cabin, then it could condense on the cold dash areas (that are cooled by the cold air flowing beneath it).
Was it humid? Were the windows down (like to air the car out when hot) while the AC was on initially? I imagine once the AC has a chance to reduce the humidity in the cabin, it would go away. I can't say I have even had that happen, but we usually don't have high humidity up here in the northeast.

It certainly couldn't hurt to have it checked out, or at least call up the service department and have a chat with someone. It could mean that some insulation for the AC ducting was forgotten or something to that effect. I don't know if they are meant to be insulated or if it just your uniquely cold AC and high humidity...
The only reason I can think of that it would be a real problem is if the condensation leaked down into the instrument cluster or other electronics. I would obviously prefer it not to happen, but I don' think it would damage the vinyl dash since it basically distilled water.

Are you in a very hot and humid state? That could be part of the problem. I have had cars that blew out vapor but never like that....yes, call the dealer and let us know what they tell you.

Be sure to print out the pictures and show them so they don't say they can't replicate the problem...

BMW says on a very hot/humid day this is a normal reaction with the AC on... typical BS, looks like we'll just have to deal with it, I guess there is so serious issue with it.
