2008 bmw 128i AC issue

All of a sudden blower fan not working anymore.

Blower fan works when I connect it directly to the battery.

Replaced Resistor and Blower motor anyway. Still not working

There is 12volt going to the resistor. The power coming out of the resitor to the blower is very weak. I ground the brown (-) dorectly to the car metal chassis then the fan spins even though I turned off the climate control.

What could be next? I am thinking the climate control switch is bad?

I wonder if anyone has similiar issue

You are in a super tiny 1M forum with about 5 active members left. You will have way more luck in the regular 1 series forum.

With that said, our cars DO in fact share those components. I have three recommendations:
1. loosen the 10mm nut on the hot terminal on the battery so you can quickly pull it in an emergency.
1. get an electrical fire rated fire extinguisher and keep near the car.
2. Look up the 1 series fan wiring recall for our cars. https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1646483

My guess is that you have faulty wiring that is one more test away from being a tik tok video of your car going up in smoke.

I hope these interim suggestions help somewhat.

Let us know what you find.

wyciwug, did you take your car to the dealer for the wiring recall check if it hasn't been done?

hello

Oh

I just saw this replies. Forum did not notify me. Yes, I had the dealer repaired something with the a/c before but was not sure of the same problem. I will contact them.

Thanks.
