How the 335 affects the E91...

So, since what I really want is a wagon with a tad more power than currently offered in the US, I've been thinking a lot about what may happen a year from now. Sorry to those who are tired of all the speculation, but here are my thoughts.

If the 335 is added to the lineup, it seems that perhaps the wagon may be offered in the 330 flavor. Based on the relatively low demand for the touring bodystyle here in NA, it's understandable that they only bring it over with one engine choice. Right now, the 325 makes sense, but if there were three non-M models of the 3, then it may be logical to pick the "mid-grade", just like they do for the 5-series wagon.

Or, if the lineup includes a 328 and 335, naturally the wagon will be offered in that 328 flavor.

So, either way, I may end up waiting a little while before making my purchase. Or, I might just run out and get that 330xi sedan and be done with it .

Any other thoughts?

I'd hold out for the M3 Touring!

Yeah - the thing is I still do like my TSX. It's not even 3 years old, it still has 30,000 miles left on the warranty (it was a CPO with only 800 miles on it!), and it's paid off. All very good reasons to keep it.

Having said that, I know I am getting a BMW sometime in the relatively near future, regardless of whether it's a smart financial decision (I never should have driven one ).

But, given the position I'm in, waiting 6-12 months is probably a good idea.

Besides, given LED's recent rant, I figure I should wait for the 2007 model anyway, right?

It sounds like the post-September cars came out without the ugly 3rd eye or mangled nose.....but if your car is as you say, I would wait for EXACTLY what I wanted.....

Well, we in the US didn't get the 330 or 328 wagon with the E46, yet the 325 wagon was a big seller.

Dealer probably thinks they can't sell them or it would cannabilize E60 wagon sales.

On a side note, dealers don't want the 1-series in the US either because it would cannabilize E90 and MINI sales. Too bad actually, I'd be all over a 130i M-Sport.
