Picked up SG 6MT 128i last week
Treasure Found... in Philly. 48k mi. Yesterday did oil change (Castrol Edge 0w40) net 7 qts, and Bosch oil filter. Today: just did leather treatment.
First thing I did when got home: removed rear head-restraints. Mine is officially, far as I'm concerned...a 2 seater! Wanna see out the rear? Do it. Yesterday ordered 4x H7 55w Philips +130 (Amazon) Going now to do CDV delete. Bye. |

Got this tonight. Hopefully it didn't go all the way through. Investigations begin tomorrow in the light.

Took the wheels off and thoroughly cleaned them with Sonax wheel cleaner. I then applied Wheel Wax and reinstalled the wheels to the car.
Getting it ready for Saturday for my favorite day of the year!! The road to Watkins Glen!!

That sucks man I picked up a nail the other day too. Luckily I got Continental tires from TireRack and they cover repairs or replacement so that was good...

Hmm mine are from TireRack but these are Hankook. Do I fall under the category. Im not super concerned since you can see I don't have that much tread left before I switch over to PSS.

-Tires are covered for 24 months from the date of purchase or until 2/32" or less of tread remains, whichever occurs first. -Repairs are reimbursed up to $25 per tire per occurrence. -During the 24 month benefit period, you will be reimbursed for 100% of the original cost of the tire covered by the Tire Road Hazard Protection, subject to the limitations set forth in the Protection Certificate. The full replacement thing is only for a couple brands and I don't see Hankook on the list unfortunately.

Thorough wash today after I got home from work.
Tomorrow: interior cleaning and a much-needed coat of wax.

2) Cabin/cowl air filter (15 mins r&r) and 3) 4 headlamps installed. When the intake air filter arrives, the charcoal filter will be history too; 4) Changed the hydraulic psg fluid yesterday. NEEDS changed.. a lifetime fluid. Not. Sopped up @ reservoir, will do again 100 mi. The % reduction method; 5) Turned off DRL, and cabin lamps; 6) moved each door 'in' some 2 mm. Adjust at the chrome catch in the jamb; Today, second lathering of leather treatment. Awaiting BMW oem rubber front mat set. Fronts only for two seaters... Soon, armrest delete. |

Out with the old and in with the new
Installed a 7" VRSF FMIC today. A little sore from rolling around under the car.

I did it on Sunday night. I think I have a small leak or something as I get a funny whining sound. Not sure what it is as it doesn't sound like a boost leak. Sounds more like a vacuum leak. I had no time to investigate before taking the car in to get a Eurocharge tune installed and dyno'd yesterday. Did some pulls with the JB4 and then removed the JB4 and did pulls with the Eurocharge tune and the numbers improved. Still think that noise is causing an issue as the HP numbers should have been higher. Overall I don't have any issues with the FMIC just need some time to go over all of the connections to ensure they are all good.

Changed the interior ambiance
What the hxll is that you ask?
In low-light conditions, there is entirely TOO MUCH cockpit illumination IMHO. Original, there's too much wattage blaring at night for example at entry/exit, ditto when in the garage with its' light too. Tried no cabin light (via BC stalk settings). TOO Little then. For perfect ambiant wattage: remove the (over gear-selector) main bulb. Remove the lense carefully, remove the bayonet bulb, refit lense. You will not believe the cabin wattage change and 'ambiance' improvement. |

Changed the oil, and the tranny fluid.
Put D4 in the 6MT.
