Amazingly helpful tutorial. Took 10 minutes from start to finish. Thanks AndyM!

Just received iCarbon rear diffuser from HP autowerks for $719.99. Didnt install it yet but according to this DIY it should be easy. The reason i brought this thread back from the dead is someone in this thread mentioned 3 years ago that the price for this part will be half of $1400 in about two years. He was right on the money when he said that wasnt he? I would never pay that much for this but $719 is a no brainer for me as it looks beautifull

What that someone did not mention is what has been happening to the half-priced aftermarket carbon fiber parts made by iCarbon....a simple search will show you the horrific hazing/clouding/warping that's been plaguing iCarbon parts, and mated with the terrible customer service, it's a no brainer to me that you get what you pay for! Good luck and I hope you don't have to go through any of it.

Where are the clips on the diffuser ?
Along the top correct ?
So I should be able to put pressure on the diffuser and get the clips to "unclip"

I just installed the diffuser and it looks great. It took about 15 min to uninstall the OEM one and install the CF dIffuser. If you look at the diffuser you are going to install, you can see where the clips are located, the same as OEM one. Just press on the bumper above the clip location and pull the diffuser. I had to pull really hard or it was not coming off. Hope it helps.

Sorry to bump up such a simple DIY but my car's diffuser doesn't have six 8mm screws. Only the 4 towards the middle are 8mm screws but the two towards each end are like this below.

They have no head and I don't know how to remove them, any help?

Looks like someone may have replaced the 8mm bolts with a push pin type fastener. By the looks of it, try taking a pair of pliars or a flathead screwdriver and pull that center part outwards. If the center comes fully out, then work your way around the outer edge of the other section and pull it out.
