UPDATE
I have received my car back from BMW. I'm not sure if this will help everyone, but it may help some.
1. I do in fact have a firmware problem and according to BMW here and in Germany there is currently no fix. Hopefully in one of the upcoming updates something will resolve my problem. 2. I have a work around from BMW that I have tested and confirmed. Plugging my phone in must be done in the following order: a. Turn on vehicle b. plug Y cable into phone c. plug Y cable into USB/AUX Hope this helps some of you out. Maybe I'll revive this topic once I have the firmware update I require. |

No problems ever with old (2008) y cable and either a iPhone 3G or an iPhone 4....the 4 has had every iteration of IOS since release and just hasn't had playback problems in the car...
