Hello Everyone!

We are proud to intorduce Cross Competition Coilovers for the 1 series. The release of the coilovers is slated for the end of October due to additional rigorous testing here in the states.

I will update with more pictures when they become available.

As stated by JIC Reps, "There is one in the US going to the track testing out the 8kg from this weekend, but because they had to add 20mm preload to the front, I would like to see 2 more rates up and maybe one down in the rear. The hatch is 4cyl and weighs less in the front, but the hatch weighs more in the rear than the coupe, coupes in us have inline 6; weight stays the same all around just balance is different."

The ultimate coilover setup for your "Ultimate Driving machine," JIC offers the bets with no compromises for your BMW with the Cross Competition Coilovers. The Competition Series is JIC's top of the line coilover system featuring a light weight design with a 15-way damp adjustable monotube shock. With its high strength build and durability, this ensures that they will last through the most harshest of driving conditions.
  • PILLOW BALL UPPER MOUNTS: Included for some vehicles for the front and some for rear depending on application. Adjustable camber plates also included for most vehicles front applications with MacPherson Strut suspension systems, some applications may come with a rubber bushing upper mount depending on application.
  • COOL BEND LINEAR SPRING: Linear (consistent spring rate) spring manufactured using chrome silicon metal alloy with a cool bend process to prevent sag or loss of spring rate. Each kit comes with various spring rates that are available for more of a custom set up.
  • HIGH STRENGTH INVERTED MONTOTUBE: This unique design features a 40 mm piston with a one of a kind bumpstop design incased inside the damper. The walls of the shock casing is lined with grease so that the absorber body can easily move along inside the shock casing body. There are also two thrust bearings to protect the absorber body.
  • HELPER SPRING: Select Cross Competition BMW coilovers come with helper springs to aid for street day to day driving. This also allows for a wider range of higher spring rates and for a smoother ride.
  • ADJUSTABLE DAMPENING: Available for all applications with 15 ways adjustability. With this feature, you are able to tune your suspension dampening up to your specifications and style of driving.
  • DURABLE MONOTUBE DESIGN: High pressure nitrogen gas filled monotube design with special stable viscosity index oil that will not be affected by wide temperature changes. Therefore, heat does not affect the performance capabilities. 40mm and 45mm pistons are used on certain applications.
  • ADJUSTABLE LOWER BRACKET: More durable than factory brackets with adjustable ride height ranging from 0.5" to 2.5" drop without sacrificing the suspension travel.

I'm one of the lucky ones...I've had mine installed for almost a week now and love them. I'll get to put the car thru it's paces this Thursday so I'll get a better sense of the added control the Cross Coilovers offer. The ONE community will love these bad boys.

I forgot to come back to this thread to let you know what I think about the Cross Coil Overs...they are worth every single penny they cost, period. Some have said if you are a track junkie the Cross CO's are the very best but maybe a little overkill for just street. I have to disagree as for the street only ONE'ers. The C CO's adds so much better control to the car it makes one start to think why this suspension didn't come with the ONE from the factory.

It's like point and shot...the car goes where you want it to go in a very predictable way. Plus the adjustability makes it so easy to get the setup just right...daily driver, aggressive time in the twisties or for that all out effect on the track.

I have used many other brands on other cars but the ONE is so special I thought it deserved the very best...and Cross has proved to be very special indeed.
