How I lift my 135i (esco jack stands, best jack ive found)
I know ive been posting a lot of links to my youtube videos lately, but I feel like they are helpful for us DIYers in the bmw community. If anyone objects to these threads of my videos just let me know, but anyways heres how I lift my 135i.
I use ESCO flat top jack stands and a harbour freight low profile long reach jack and the setup is amazing. It can go up to 24 inches which is incredibly high. I usually set it at level 3/5 which is roughly 17 inches and its plenty of room so work underneath my car. The car is incredibly stable on these stands too! Enjoy!

Thanks, It really works great. The ESCO jack stands are amazing. I usually lift the front of the car up to level 1/5 or 13 inches on the ESCO jack stands, then just lift the rear to level 3/5 on the ESCO stands and then the front to whatever my desired height is depending on the job and just match it with the rear so the car is level. I once put it up to level 5/5 on both front and rear once just to see and HOLY shit it was high, almost too high for when your laying on your back and you cant reach up enough in some instances

I bought Esco stands (low profile ones) because if Ne1man35's video! Paired with a set of Burger Motorsports jack pad adapters it's truly a great set-up.

Harbor Freight or Torin jack stands? Which one is good to buy as a beginner? Any idea?
I was just reading Torin Jack Stands Review: T42002A, T43002, T43006 & T46002A Reviews this. Not sure should I buy Torin jack stand or not. Although, I am seeing lots of good review about this stand at Amazon.

Neither one. Our cars, as well as all BMWs if im not mistaken, have the flat jack pad points. A harbour freight jack stand has a V-shape at the top and it wont sit on the flat jack point right. It will end up chewing up the edges of your jacking point or even sleeping off potentially dropping and damaging your car. The ESCO stands are the only ones to my knowledge that are flat-top
