He's talking about the sniffer built into Progman 29.2 and higher, or DME V81, that detects fuel consumption and boost figures to determine you have a tune installed. If you go beyond certain set parameters, then you store a code for the BMW center to see.
DP's in combo with JB3 are enough to trip that flag. |

I think most tunes will do that flag if you have DPs if you go over the torque threshold.... I'm not too concerned, I dont have downpipes and if/by the time I do I'm sure someone will have a solution!

'Just my opinion' but if you achieve similar outstanding results in terms of power and performance, to what people in the US have with just a JB3 only and all else stock - you may not even have to bother with more mods and expense in this area :iono: I'd then do suspension/wheels and cosmetic upgrades (which you may be doing anyway) and maybe a cat or axle back only for better exhaust note and aesthetics, a quad as posted a while ago would be nice  |

So around 59kw and 107nm gain at the wheels, with ALL else stock  Then there's the chap who has installed it and run some numbers, he's managed a high 3sec to 100km/h and a low 12 over the 1/4 - very good if not excellent results with the JB3 tune and nothing else, except I believe he used better tyres for those better times, which I think most other people will also mod, ie: better rims and tyres  http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...t=12993&page=2 |
