Which is a US organization, so an SAE bolt has english dimensions. Most bolts on a BMW are metric.

I can't seem to remember specifically how I routed them, but there is space to loop them under and then back up beside the can. There is a gap between the engine and the firewall where the can will mount; that is where you want the hoses. When I have more time I will look at where they are and try to take pics. I need to remove the microfilter housing and everything to see them.

It must be purchased separately. I think it was free only with pre-orders last month.

Most of the oil that flows through that line is aerated. An internal baffle will collect this aerated oil and help to remove it better than just an open container.

My STi's catch can has internal baffling in the form of a lawn-mower air filter cut and stuffed inside

No need to remove stuff on my behalf. Would you say the hose routing is pretty obvious/intrinsic...no special tricks requred?

Yes, you can see where the hoses need to go pretty easily once everything starts to go together. No tricks.

Can installed. I would like to mention one thing to save any possible confusion for others. In the DIY, it says to remove a wash fluid line. In my car, there is no wash fluid line in the area as pictured. I have a May production, and I'm guessing BMW relocated the line as mine is found on the inside edge of the hood instead. In my case, there was no need to remove this.

Another thing: The fourth screw on the engine cover was difficult to take off and put on, without having it fall through the cracks. I used needle nose pliers and a steady hand to take care of this.

Thank you for the review Bullitt. Its great to have members on 1addicts chime in with their input. Hopefully some of you have the magnet rod in case the screw falls through. Just be careful!

Available now was before they sold out. Please check dates. Your ONE off issue with the catch can was sent back by customs. Your post was already replied too in the vendor feedback section. Your refund was already issued. Thanks!

Not a knock on your design, but why not offer some way to drain it without having to remove it? IE a valve, or having the can spin off the housing like an oil filter? Thanks

There is a drain on the bottom of the can. It takes two small screws to lift it up and drain it out. Literaly takes less than 2 min. Also if you can see there isnt much room to where you could drain a can while its sitting in the eng bay.
