Dinan, IMO, is over priced for what you get. There are better performing aftermarket setups that are a fraction of the cost.

Eibach makes a great setup too, very similar to the H&R Sports but a bit higher and softer.

I had the Eibach Pro Kit. The drop/stance was really nice afterward. No, forward rake. The ride was smooth still and almost stock like. You could feel a bit more of the road imperfections (could also be because i ditched the runflat tires). With a set of matching shocks I think the ride could be much improved.

I ended up getting some KW V2 over Christmas so I swapped the Eibach out and can say that I miss the smooth~er riding feel from the eibach. The eibach springs give you that 'lowered' look and is very suited for street driving while the KW are def. a rougher ride.

If you're looking for a lowered look without the rake, i think the eibach's are good choice. If you want some 'performance' handling however, i suggest looking else where or getting a set of matched shocks to go with them. Or you can be like me and try them and upgrade later if you don't like them (and be stuck with an extra set of springs).

very confused now, I want to set it and forget it and from the sounds of it I don't believe a coilover is the way to go, or just springs. I think i need a shock and spring combo as I don't track my car.

Would those who know say the Eibach kit is SOFTER than the stock setup? I don't want any softer, but I may want a slight bit lower. I slight bit firmer would be nice too.

If you just want to lower the car, springs will be your best bet. Coilovers are not at all necessary if you are not looking to dial in a specific ride height or adjust your settings for a track situation. For just a simple lowering job an improvement in handling, go with springs.

Eibach will ride lower and a tad stiffer over stock. It's one of the least aggressive aftermarket spring sets available along with the H&R Sports.

Fronts on the H&R Sports are ridiculously low on the 1 series. (like nearly 2" drop")

The H&R OEM Sports are another story, with minimal drop.

Definitely not softer!! I think the Eibach may be perfect for what you are looking for...

thanks, this is what I'm looking for slight lowering with an improvement in handling, ideally I would like a very slight drop and dramatic improvement in handling so I'm not sure if I should get a matched shock condo as well. I don't really want coilover as I want a really low maintence solution, basically a set it and forget it solution. Any recomendations of spring/shock combo? I definately don't want the raked looked

H&R Cup Kit or Eibach Pro Kit/Koni FSD combo would be ideal here. H&R tends to give a raked look so you would be better off with Eibach/FSD.

Has anybody had any rubbing issues after installing the Eibach Pro spring kit? I am looking to do this soon and will be running stock rims. I just don't want to load up the car for my annual run to Le mans to find that the tyres will rub.

If anyone has lowered on Eibach springs and had 4 people in the car on stock rims with no rubbing I would be happy to make the purchase.

You will definitely want a full 4 wheel alignment when replacing the springs and or shocks. You will not rub so long as your wheels and tires are the correct offset and sizing.
