135i suspension advise- Prior KWV2
Hello all,
I have been running KWV2's from 2008 and would like to keep the ride height close to stock as the roads are bad in Houston. I don't mind the harshness. I took the car to the shop due to grinding noise from the driver side. Advised to change: 1) Front struts- LT and RT 2) Strut Mounts 3) Strut bumper 4) spring seat - Part no 31336764093 5) sway bar link- RF and LF-31356765933,4 6) coil springs 7) Thermostat assembly 8) Heater hose inlet - 64216983858 Reading here, can you please advise if the below B6 or Koni special active will suffice? If you know of specific place I can buy online/repair shops in Houston, that would be great. As I said above, I would like to keep the ride height close to stock as the roads are bad in Houston. I don't mind the harshness. B12 is a fixed height and dampening kit. B14 is adjustable height - so what you normally would call a coilover.
Depends on what you want - if you want the height and dampening adjustability like your KWV2 you will need to go with B16 or similar. If you want set it and forget it for everything, B12 is a cheap option (among others). Lots and lots of info if you search around on this forum based on your needs. |
