Opinion on color of wheels for space grey car?

Sent in the specs to have my new wheels cut, but am not sure on the color and need to decide before COB today. These are the design, but am in between a bronze color and gunmetal. Here's two examples of sets I have for different cars.

Opinions?

I personally prefer the colors more on the silver side/anthracite. Basically a dirty silver.

Going to get my set of Apex wheels re-finished in that color soon as I don't like the matte black.

Yeah that anthracite chrome look is nice, but the manufacturer charges $90/wheel extra to anodize in it. Was leaning more towards the bronze just because the gunmetal is so close to the car's color I think it will be too much grey.

I guess I need to do some more research on my end, I was thinking a painted finish. Are you saying they can only achieve that color through anodizing?

There's different ways to finish them. You can paint then clear and polish do it almost looks like anodizing. Then all the other usual methods... But for me to get the look I wanted, it was anodizing only and since it's outside of the normal paint process, it'd be an extra $360 or $540 if I get the extra 17"s for the rear

And the other side to that is paint repair is easier/cheaper than re anodizing.

custom, direct from a wheel manufacturer. nothing like going straight to the source and getting monoblock forged wheels for cheap ass cast wheel prices! I believe my contact there said prices on these start off around $900 per set of 19", painted and shipping included. But the price does fluctuate depending on width, design, etc.

once they get in, i'll post the info up for them. It does take a while (30-45 days) because they cut them from blanks when you order - none kept in stock.

I would choose bronze because it is not too common.

For space gray I'd go for hyperblack.

Any pics on the car? I've been thinking about changing up my wheels and getting them powder coated "brake dust gold" color. Call it a dark bronze in color similar to what you did here but a shade or two more to brown side.

Looks real nice man. Love the style. Wonder what they'd look like in a brushed satin raw aluminum like offered on the Apex forged EC7R

Got the wheels in the other day, taking them to get some rubber installed this morning and should have them mounted and pics by the end of this week.

They look fantastic.

went ahead and popped them on today. these things are fucking sexy!

Fronts are 19x8 45et with a 235/35/19 tire on them. Rears are 19x9 57et with a 255/35/19 tire.

Car is on stock suspension, both wheels clear the fender. The front one couldn't go in much more if any at all because of strut clearance. The rear one has over an inch left for shock clearance. Now that I know how they fit, I'll be grabbing a set of matching 17x9.5 probably 62 et (need to actually measure this before ordering) for a 275 radial on the back.

This is why I go directly to a manufacturer instead of a middle man for wheels...As long as you don't mind to wait a while (this set took 90 days from payment to receipt) you can get almost anything, in any specification you want, at a much cheaper cost. Being restricted to a handful of designs, with even fewer widths and offsets is silly. No spacers needed when you can get everything customized.

I'll post the contact info for the rep at the company tomorrow.

I forgot to weigh them before having tires mounted, but they are all 7 pounds and change lighter than the old wheels (whatever brand these are). The old rears were 19x9.5 45et with the same tire, both had federal 595 rs-rr 255/35/19. So they are a legit 7+ pounds each lighter from the rears, and the fronts were nearly 8 pounds lighter, but the old fronts have a different tire on them so I don't know how much of that is wheel weight and how much is tire weight between the two.

contact info is kate@jovawheels.com or her whatsapp # is +86 135 5608 6699

site is www.jovawheels.com

Kate said if you let her know you're from the bmw forum, she can do the same wheels for $940+ shipping. Obviously if you start changing sizes and widths that will probably change the price too. They can cut any wheel design on their website to almost any spec you want (their engineers will not allow you to go outside of the certification parameters for safety though). It's your responsibility to make sure the spec you ask for, will fit on your car.

***I have no financial interest with her or with that company.*** Just trying to share a good deal.
