Scott - Can you comment on a few specifics in this C&D article describing preliminary test drive in Spain?

Namely, the 1 series M coupe will use the N54 (you have stated in the past it would use a variation of the N55 that would also be utilized for the upcoming M3).

Also, the article states that DCT will not be offered in the 1 series M coupe. Is this accurate?

The article indicates output of 335 hp. I believe Scott has previously indicated power in the 350-360 range.

I know its p'bly hard to answer, but how limited of a production is this as in total units? Is it a 1 year dear, or a permanent part of the BMW line up? Taking into account any that the bady style and engine options might change over the next 2 years.

I don't understand, Scott. You are saying its not a 135is, yet it sounds like the engine is the same? and the brakes don't look like anything special, so please give us some insight if you can. I was thinking of picking up a 335is in a few years, but now this may be on my shopping list as well.

I know when I was taking my factory tour when I picked up my 135 on launch day, there was talk of a new TT I6.

That may have been the N55, but I'd expect to see something other than "just" a mildly tuned N54. Perhaps not in terms of power (I doubt they'd eclipse the M3), but maybe higher revs, less lag, who knows n

Some people pay close to that for a loaded 300hp 135i. I dont see an issue.

A 29k Mustang GT has 412hp

A 58K BMW M3 has 414hp

There are more than just numbers here. A 60k 3000lb Cayman S has around 320hp right? What about a V8 Audi R8?
