Genuine BMW Performance LSD for 6-speeds (33108659987)

This is an opportunity to upgrade your 135i with a LSD for a great price. This LSD will fit in your E82, I promise. I got this new LSD for a decent price but drive a DCT, which has the 2.56 final drive ratio. The change will trigger the DSC, so I cannot install it.

It will fit because
- The pumpkin is the same size as the stock manual 135i differential
- The axle flanges from a stock e82 diff fit in and lock exactly the same as on this diff
- The ratio is the same (3.08) on the manual 135i as it is the F22/23 models.

The reason this has not been reported as effective before is that the F22/23 models use single piece axles which combines the axle and axle flange in one, unlike the E82 which has the axle flanges bolt to the axles.

Please ask all questions you'd like.

1800 + 200 for shipping (This is heavy! ~95 pounds)

Yes, perfectly with the stock rear diff cover. The differentials are the same metal casting so it attaches to the driveshaft and two front subframe bushing exactly the same as your stock diff. The performance diff does not come with axle flanges because on the newer models the axle and axle flanges are integrated into one shaft. So you'll carefully remove the flanges from your stock diff, making sure not to bend the metal dust covers. Once removed from old diff, you'll be able to insert them into the performance diff and hear a pop, confirmed they are installed perfectly. The seals are the same size on the stock and performance diff, so no change is required. Lastly, swap the rear cover and bolts from your old diff onto the performance diff. The bolt pattern is the same. Use 83190404517 to seal the cover.

Then install is the reverse of stock removal!

If I could find a buyer now, I would buy the proper diff (the 2.81 ratio version is close as it comes to 2.56) for my DCT and create a tutorial!

Why not just change the gear ratio in XHP? It won't cause any DSC issues then.

I think that I will use XHP but 3.08 seems like quite a jump. The lowest ratio lsd BMW sells is 2.81 and that’s what I’d like
