Window Adjustment/Sagging Issue

Hello everyone,

This is my first post so don't go too hard on me.

I noticed that my passenger window started to sag pretty badly to the point where it was hit the molding every time the door was opened and closed. It actually started damaging the molding slightly. If this is happening to you and the window doesn't seat properly and is even perhaps letting a slight bit a water in, here's how to fix it.

1) get the door panel off.

2) once it's off and your looking at the foam liner, you can address the window. Make a small incision towards the bottom of the foam close to the side that is sagging.

3) you should then have enough space to peak in and see the small screw on the bottom corner of the glass that hold it in place.

4) that screw will need to be turned counter clockwise to tighten (the opposite of everything else) the glass into place. You may have to connect the window switch temporary to raise the window to get to the screw

5) adjust the window and back to screw out to tighten. Place a small piece of tape over the incision and your all set.

6) button everything up in reverse order and carry on with your day.

Took me 30 minutes to do it. Sorry for no pics, I'll do a better write up next time. ENJOY!

I've never needed to adjust my windows, but I thought I read about a reset procedure to recalibrate the window height electronically so you wouldn't need to make a manual adjustment. Still good to know that it can be done mechanically.

There is a way to reset it, I had to do it in my sunroof. I don't remember the procedure but you open it all the way and push a few buttons and maybe hold some other ones down, I don't recall entirely.

But basically the car needs to relearn where the windows position is at any time. I think the OPs case something was loose maybe which is why it was sagging :
