1m european light switch
Hey!
I'm looking into ordering the euro switch, this may be a dumb question but do our 1m's have fog lights? thanks |

All is wired and even the bulb is present on NA 1Ms. Just remove 4 tiny latches underneath the blank space (that is in fact a factory disabled switch) and you're all set. If you need the fog light icon to be on the switch button, go for the euro switch.

Is the dial to raise/lower the headlights? Does it work? |

In our HID equipped E82s, the height servos in the headlights are controlled by a level-sensor located near the front axle, so the dail is simply not operational. In halogen-light equipped (EU/ROW) 1Ms, these servos could be connected to the dial for manual control. |

The above headlight switch pictured - is for a 125i(128i) or 118d/120d/120i with halogen headlights AND front fogs and rear fogs. On halogen equipped cars the height is adjusted manually. Dackel

Here's how you can connect common electrical gadgets to the currently non-functional front-fog-light switch:
Once you confirm that the headlight switch has a yellow/white-stripe wire connected at pin7 (this is a low current drive signal, see diagram), You can now connect and switch ~50W gadgets to either or both pin 3 and 37 of the FRM module (located at your utmost left toe while pushing the clutch).
