another bluetooth audio question- 2008 135i

Hey there,
I just bought a 2008 135i and have the aux in next to a 12v cigarette lighter plug under the armrest. I see a lot of folks using the Bovee WMA3000b with good results, but this uses an aux plug and a USB. Is the USB just for power? If so, I could just plug in a cig lighter USB and use that for power. If the USB is for something more than power, is there a different Bluetooth unit that will work?

Thanks!

So you don't have a USB plug for playing music?

It used to be that which Bovee unit you needed depended on what options your car has.

For example, I have the Bluetooth for phone, USB & Combox so I can use a USB only version of the Bovee (no 3.5mm aux in) but they don't make that one anymore I don't think.

Here is what the vindecoder shows for my car.
6FL USB-/AUDIO INTERFACE
6VC CONTROL COMBOX
639 COMPLETE PREP. CELLULAR PHONE USA/CDN 676 HIFI LOUDSPEAKER SYSTEM

If you don't have the USB in then I don't think the Bovee will work. Which is a shame b/c the sound quality is great.

Hi Gangplank, I ordered the Bovee, but it would not work because I didn't have the USB plug in the car, just the aux in jack. I guess I'll have to use one of the rechargeable little bluetooth adapters. If anyone has other ideas/options, let me know.
