what about the middle light? haha
Well, I've seen a lot of tinted lights on the 1er, but I never liked any of them. I wanted something sporty and original, so I chopped out the middle section of tint to accent the best part of the lights and make the car look wider from behind... |

Did you use a spray-on, or a template? I'm guessing template if you said you chopped out the middle section. Looks nice.

I tinted the whole light with your standard tint film on the outside and then cut the film off of the light around the bars. Didn't want anything permanent.

woodman650, I see that you left the deck lid light untinted it would look better if it matched. I see that you are in Seattle I 'll be heading to live in Lacey. There will be 1 less in San Antonio even though I have only scene 1 other 1 on the road here.

Just got mine done a few days ago. Popped out the tail lights and the trunk lid tail light and had a local body shop tint them. I watched the painter hit them with three coats of clear coat with black mixed in. The 4th would have been darker, but I thought this was dark enough. BTW, I've had the car for less then a week and I couldn't be happier.

Check Lamin-x. I just spoke with them a few days ago, and they have precut fronts and rears.

i did my audi TTs tinted tail using nightshade and turned out great...although i like the glossier look better that the tint shops use...the film tho can fade over time and will look like crap...also people say the same about painted taillights...with the painted at least you can do a clear coat like i did then just wax and polish it liek you do your car and it should last much longer than the tint film...idk what i will do this time around tho...BTW that grey 135i debadged looks SICK i agree you gotta do the amber covers or delete

well I had some idiot hit my car so its in the shop. it was just the bumper and fender on the driver side but still it piss me off. At least now I'm getting the rear diffuser painted the same color of the car which will make it look lower. 350Zpilot the car is looking good. I will post pics as soon as I pick up my ride.

Mine are tinted and I live in socal. The thing is, if you can't see the lights at a certain distance blah blah blah something like that. Basically, its not illegal, and I have the darker tint like this covering the whole tail light and the lights are still bright through them so I haven't had any trouble once the weather clears up outside I will get some b4 and afters up. BTW OP, like what you've done. As Ice Cube says, Do Yo Thang Man.
