Quick question about Bilstein B12
Hi. I recently received what is supposed to be a Bilstein B12 kit, but the shocks came in individual boxes, and the Eibach springs came in their own box. My question is, is this how they usually ship? I have a feeling I just received B8 shocks and Eibach springs piecemeal, which wouldn’t bother me, but I’ve read that the shocks are customer valves in the B12 kit for those springs. Any ideas?

Bilstein B12 kit with Eibach springs...
Yes, duder13 my Bilstein B12 kit came the same way. Everything was in their own box, except for the front struts, which were wrapped up in paper/bubble wrap.
Dack Bilstein B12 kit with Eibach springs... a HUGE shipping box that everything came in. I decided to also replace most of the shock hardware, rear shock mounts(upper and lower) and sway bay end links(f&r) while I am in there.

Thanks everyone. All 4 of my Bilsteins came in their own box, and the Eibachs came in another, but they didn’t all come together in a larger Bilstein box, which is why I was wondering if they were piecemeal. It looks like my part numbers are the same, so I won’t worry about it.

I'm pretty sure the B12 is just a specific set of Eibach springs bundled with a specific set of Bilstein shocks. They're not specific Bilstein springs - they're just a 'matched set' (ie. the shocks were specifically made to match those Eibach springs).
From what I understand you can make your own B12 kit by buying Bilstein B8's and Eibach Pros - it's just more expensive that way. |
