The point here is that if your dealer doesn't have an allocation for you now, they're not gonna get any more.

However, there may still be allocations that (a) are unspoken for, or (b) might free up if someone backs out.

Unfortunately, at this point, many of those will be over MSRP.

Good luck to all who are still looking, and to anyone (like me) with any degree of uncertainty.

Obviously one of the two sides is wrong...

Wanting to know the truth is all I am trying to do here, not 'over-speculating', not trying to act as a 'naysayer', and definitely not trying to get attacked by trolls on a internet forum.
No disrespect man and I certainly don’t mean to troll or attack but if you were paying attention to what was going on in this thread and this forum (since end of Feb), you would have seen and known the following:
  • CAs have proven themselves more often than not to be more unreliable than the information you found here about the 1M and the whole allocation/order mess
  • That you probably shouldn’t have solely relied on your CA’s word and pressed for proof of a guaranteed car
  • How to obtain proof that you’d be guaranteed a car which was that your CA gave you a valid production number which you could check on the BMWNA website and the 1-800 number
  • Short of having the abovementioned proof, you had no guarantee. And that if you wanted a guarantee that you’d get a car and your CA wasn’t giving you one you should have been calling around to find a dealership/CA that would give you that guarantee – the production number.

Now, I suppose it would be a different case if you put down the deposit earlier this year and trusted your CA to come through for you. Then you popped up on the forum just in the last few weeks to find all the discussion about the end of allocations and production ending at the end of Oct then asked your CA about it who only could tell you “don’t worry about it, you’ll get one”

If that’s the case, I really feel bad that you were kept in the dark about the whole thing and your CA wasn’t more informed which could ultimately leave you without a car. If that isn’t the case and you’ve been monitoring this thread and forum, you should have been adequately informed on what to do to secure a car.

I *might* have a line on one available AW and one available BSM, both at or near MSRP. Going to get confirmation before posting the information but stay tuned!

Pay attention to the first part so there are no surprises.

Call Bob Lambert at BMW of Bloomington and tell him Zach sent you. His direct reach line is 309-838-0691

Both have been produced, confirmed for October delivery, and at MSRP! MSRP is for IL residents only. If sold to an out of state resident, it's MSRP + $2500. 10% deposit locks these down.

Why free:
Options 7H8 BMW Assist w/enhanced BT & USB N/C
639 BMW Assist with Bluetooth N/C
6FL iPod and USB adapter N/C

I had to pay $1,150 for these exact options on my Sep build.

They were originally $10K over MSRP when I called a few months ago. Bob didn't specify why they changed or if someone had cancelled their order. I just wanted to get this info up on the board ASAP.

Apparently hidden at the bottom of the barrel.. As opposed to trying to keep a long list of people on deposit... it seems that several mid size dealers were just waiting til they had the allocation actually ready to configure (or in this case, configured and shipping) before finding a buyer.
