MILVS Upgrade

For those that have DIY like desertman123 ......I will be setting sometime up to do my MILVS shortly.

I've done every other mod on my car myself, and have done plenty of valvetrain upgrades on other cars.....so even though I am not as familiar with this platform......I feel like I can do do this.

So I plan to buy a VCG kit for my car. I'm assuming this will come with everything I need. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any type of O-Rings, Misc gaskets, etc that one would normally replace when doing this job.

Anyone have any suggestions for me? I just want to do everything that is normally done when performing this job.

I figure I need:

Valve cover gasket
Valvetronic motor gasket
Eccentric shaft sensor gasket

I have my tune ready, and plan to rent the spring tool once I watch some videos of it in use.

Any other advice?

Thanks!

Also......anybody have a part # handy for the Spring Retaining Bolts in case I don't use the spring tool?

Figured it can't hurt to swap those out for new ones.

you got the parts correct.. also check the gears making sure they're in proper order, oil filter housing gasket wouldn't be bad to check either since you're in there.. get the preventive stuff done ya know? those three seals you mentioned are items that got changed anyways when the MILVs got done

good luck!!!

I'm debating on an ESS Sensor since I'm in there although my car is currently running fine. I did find some oil when I replaced the coils, but figured someone missed the fill hole as it's been dry since.

Already did the OFHG when I did the 3SI.
