Fucking, sunroof. I was so pissed when there was no sunroof delete package. My lease is up July 14th. I think I've opened the sunroof one time... and that was in the 1st week of ownership.

Nope, it probably just means you're not in Florida where it's 85° F and 90% humidity 9 months out of the year If I opened the sunroof, I'd have to waterproof my seats because of the sweat lol.

+1. I ordered mine without one. I might open my sunroof once every 3-4 years or so.

N54 for pure, unadulterated power. A tuned n54 is just intoxicating. Otherwise there are plenty of other NA car's I would have looked at before the 128, like the e46 m3.

Got it specifically for the N54, and didn't want a 3-series. Everyone around here has a 3. Figured the 1 would be different.

Try Oklahoma... haha. We had like 90 something days in a row with actual temperature over 100, then later on that year had a week during winter with actual temps of negative 30.

Dunno what kind of humidity you get out there in OK, but that's what kills us here. It can be 82° F out, and your shirt will get soaked through because the humidity is so high. Some nights, the dew point will climb above 75° F. If you open the sunroof, you end up with dew on your dashboard

E87 came out in 2004, so there was 3 years of overlap... Worldwide.

E8X was introduced in the U.S. as a 2008 model so no overlap here.

I'm a noob. I was unaware you could purchase gray market automobiles in the United States as CPO's. Is this a new BMW policy?

(and model years before they were produced, I.E. E82/88)

CPO e46s were sold until 2010.

I wish we could get e87s-- if we could, I'd get my fiancé a 4 door hatch in a heartbeat. It would be the perfect car for her

I did not know that (he said in his best Johnny Carson voice), though I was referring to the E87. Still, overlap non-the-less.

I'm jealous. I have a friend who restores to the same level. He actually has a room above his garage with a sliding panel in the floor. He uses a pulley system to lift the components up and down from that room so he can work on it undisturbed.

I only wish I had the space to do that kind of work. But with the home prices here I'm lucky enough to have a tiny garage as is.
