I'm sure you know this stuff, just reminding you!
As 993 911 has stated, you really need to join a gym and develop a routine for the results you want to see. Those shoes may help slightly in the long run, but they are not going to be the cause of a dramatic 150lbs weight loss. Would 2-3 hours per week really be that much time away from work?

Regarding the driving, why not keep a pair of flip-flops in the car to drive it? I don't see why doing that would require your vehicle to be regularly searched. If the cash-for-gold industry is so worried about its couriers (I assume that is what you are) stealing merchandise, why don't they try something like this:

-Send opened lock boxes with the couriers on their pick-ups
-Customers place their gold jewelry in the lock boxes while in the presence of the courier
-The courier then places the lock on the box in the presence of the customer, which the courier does not have a key to
-The lock boxes are then brought back to the facility without the need to search the couriers and their vehicles

Man, I must be bored to even be thinking about this.

Gene,
I can't offer an opinion on the best shoe for proper exercise/fitness. But, for driving, I like Piloti shoes. They are very comfortable driving and general use, including the track (depending on track rules).
Personally, I would rather have a shoe (for work) that is comfortable, and allows me to drive safely.
http://www.piloti.com/

A trip to the gym, with a separate bag and shoes would be my option. YMMV.

Do you need to get back to your regular job giving the 3 Billy Goats Gruff a hard time?

I don't know what you researched, but to lose weight all you need to do is exercise to increase calorie burn, and lower your daily calorie intake. Those 2 things together is what will allow you to lose weight, NOT those funky shoes. Simply having those shoes will do nothing to help you lose weight.

C'mon man. Are you serious? The shoes get in the way of being able to safely drive the car. Do you really need to ask what to do about it?
Your questions just sound so ridiculous, that's why people think this a joke.

If you intend to do some extra walking and/or laps around the place you work, you could easily do that with any number of good all around training shoes. It's the extra level of exercise that will burn calories not the whacky rounded sole of those shoes.

And, so what if your company does a pat down when you leave? What does that have to do with having an extra pair of shoes so that you can drive safely? How much time could it possibly take to look inside an extra pair of shoes, 15 seconds?!

All of us that read this thread have lost a few IQ points.

Man get yourself a pair of echos, haha. I bought a pair last summer before shipping out to uni and ive dropped almost 20lbs since then.

I also walk up and down a massive hill to get to my classes every day. Maybe that and my twice weekly trips to the gym have something to do with it?

Edit:

Ohh and i almost forgot, im eating more salads...

If you can't find a little person, maybe you could get a helper monkey like this lady.

http://www.ky3.com/home/video/65706592.html

A Missouri woman has been denied the use of her helper monkey. Debby Rose who suffers from anxiety and agoraphobia says she needs her helper monkey to assist her with daily living outside the home. The Greene County Health Department notified all public businesses that they may be in violation of health code should they serve Debby and her monkey at their establishment. Debby filed a lawsuit. The judge in this case has ruled that Richard is not a service animal…He cited Debby’s record has revealed a long history of adequate functioning and independent behaviors. She’s held jobs, raised 6 kids…had 3 marriages…

Oh yes, and Richard is required to be with her when she drives…

Although the verdict in this case is in, on a Monday morning I couldn’t help but provide my own commentary...

Let’s start with the restriction placed on her license. Richard must be with her when she drives. I have sympathies for the DMV worker who has to process this…(hapless woman typing) “restriction type A must wear corrective lenses…and operate under supervision of a monkey...hmmm"

Richard is a macaca monkey…in order for him to qualify as a service animal recognized under the law of the ADA there are two criteria:

He must have been a.) trained to perform specific tasks required for a major life activity and b.) trained to behave properly in places of public accommodation.

Here I would like to say pointing out the need to have a monkey supervise your driving is probably not your best bet…further revealing that he pulls hair and “pats” you in the face to bring you back does nothing to quell the very real fear of aggression…

My gut level feel is that I really want Debby Rose to have her monkey i.e., Richard. I’m just not sure of the distractions this may cause on the road. "Richard calms Debby Rose and alerts her to danger by pulling her hair when she slips into a panicked trance-like state..."

I can only imagine the harried commuter looking over at rush hour to see a gorked out woman with a monkey urgently pulling on her hair. It seems that this would be a bigger problem than cell phones…

My advice is to just lose the weight. Simple. Just eat a lot of gold before you leave work. Dig it out of, well, you know. Pawn the gold off, drive to the nearest 'hood, buy an ounce of blow a week and viola', you'll lose all the weight and be tweekin' all the time at someone else's expense. Keep snortin' man.....
