I dropped off in Frankfurt, and had the car in 5 weeks. They said they would have it on the boat the day after I dropped the car off at the center.

From what I have experienced and read, anywhere in Germany is best (and Munich probably tops that list as they have so many cars coming out of Munich) avoid everywhere else with Italy being the worst. The reason for this is that they need a full load of cars and in the cities outside of Germany it can be weeks. Even in Munich it took a few days for my car to leave. On the other hand you could luck out anywhere and be the last car that they need in order to make a full load.

My car was dropped off in Munich last Monday and it just got put on teeh boat yesterday. So I think there are there are other factors besides city that determine how quick you will get the car.

I left mine in Munich on the 11th. It got to NY on the 10th. It took 2 weeks to get it on the boat though. Can you drop it off in Bremerhaven? Might be quickest...(30 days so far)

I agree with White one if time is your concern, Bremerhaven looks the quickest because that is were they ship most of the cars. And I also agree that Italian drop off points should be last on your list. They will drive your car back to Munich plus you will have to pay about 500 to 900 Euros.
Ok, member sponger, time to point out where is my grammar mistake. I must admit, my english is a little crooked but i speak 6 languages and they can all mix up in my tiny brain.

Best dropoff locations are Munich or Frankfurt.
There's no dropoff in Bremerhaven - Munich and Frankfurt are the two choices in Germany, and they're both more or less the same with regard to redelivery time. One or the other might be a bit quicker at any given time, but it's most likely a crapshoot at best.

Huh - I guess you're right then. I could have sworn that my ED paperwork only listed Frankfurt and Munich as the dropoff locations in Germany.
