Silver trim/lining smudged?

Hi All,

Not sure exactly how I should describe this problem or how to search for the solution here.

My silver trim/lining seem to have smudges on them that I could not get out. It usually gets hand washed. Anyone know how I can make it shine again? Pictures attached.

Thanks!

If the trim is chrome (anyone know?) a chrome polish & some elbow grease might help. It looks like it has a lot of water spots etched into it? What have you tried so far to clean it up?

Try a cleaning wax in an inconspicuous area and see what you think. It's oxidization on the plastic.

Is this plastic or is it aluminum? I am thinking of using autogym's metal polish. Any thoughts?

I have some similar discoloration in my black shadow line trim. Have not figured out how to remove it.

See the sticky thread in this subforum. I've personally had very good results with PlastX, but any light polish should work.
