Stereo no sound. No Aux, Maps, etc. amp missing? PICS

I'm nearly certain the reason for no sound/aux etc is because my car does not have an amp. Is there another amp I could get for a good price that would work with the BMW nav/info screen? I'm also considering taking the screen out and implementing a tablet in its place.

Here are pictures of some cut wires along with the OEM amp location.
