Welcome present for my 1er
Bought a welcome present for my 135i when she arrives in May. A Beltronics Sti Driver radar detector. Yes I know it's illegal everywhere except WA, that's why I got the only undetectable detector on the market.:headbang:
Might come in very useful particularly in a car like the 135i:thumbup:

Sounds good but it will sit out like dog balls on on the dash of your 135. I am not familiar with that model but I presume it sits on the dash or suctions onto the windscreen?

One thing that comes to mind is that today lots of cars have windscreen mounted GPS units, so the cops might mistake my detector for one of those.:iono:

Your VIC cops might be a lot more cluey than their laid back Tassie cousins here. I've been booked in Vic doing 2kph over the limit, but over here the cops allow up to 10kph over the limit before booking. I've been pulled over about 5 times going way over the limit and so far have always managed to get away with a warning. Have however been book 3 times by mobile speed cameras where I have no chance to talk my way out. 3 X 3 points = 9 points gone. So I have only 3 left..... but good news so far is that I have a NSW licence and our easy going Tassie cops haven't told NSW about the fines yet.

Sure that would be great. I'm on the north east coast, surrounded by Targa Tas stages, have an accommodation, pub and restaurant business. Definitely GTG for an Aussie 1er coupe get together.

I too was up to 8 demerit points but got some of them back last year. Got burnt in the M5 tunnel a couple of times. Now I only speed OUTSIDE the tunnel on the M5.
