Because I just don't like the 4 series and the M4 by extension, same with the F30/F80 3 series, I find them bland and uninteresting (my personal opinion). The M2 is the only BMW produced after 2013 that still excites me. The AMG has a charisma that appeals to me and I love the interior but you have a point about the manual... The other thing is that the M3/M4 don't depreciate as much as the AMG C63 in the first 2 years.

My only problem with the M4 and the new M2 Competition is the way the S55 sounds. I could never open up the exhaust for fear of raping my own ears. Great cars, but the sound kills it for me, hopefully the upcoming S58 fixes that issue...

The S55 definitely sounds more sterile and precise compared with the N55 which has a certain guttural growl to it, which has only been improved with the B58.
That being said, I'm still pretty much set on my next car being an M4, as the S55 is an incredible engine...just continuing to watching those CPO prices trend downward. |

If they make better steering feel than the new bmw's, which is possible considering the frs, this is definitely an option. Will be interesting to see what resale is like between this and its new bmw brother.

I wouldn't go with the Fiat solely because it has a turbo. I'd keep all my cars NA if I could. I've seen comparisons between the two and the Fiat just gulps down fuel compared to the Miata when driving aggressively. |

This amazing machine is for sale, with ABS and A/C, original M-tech kit II.
Checked some prices for parts, damn they are dirt cheap. Good thing it is 6 hours away, id probably test drive it and have some sleepless nights and trade my 1er for it |

Well rethinking this thread..
Except for the Two series, BMW offers nothing I'd want. The same for Mercedes. Their products are getting way too complicated and of course, super expensive.
I'll be happy with my One & SLK until the earth crashes into the sun. In the meanwhile, I might buy a 2014 or 2015 R8 V8. I can get a very nice one for around $80,000! It'd look impressive out in my driveway! BTW, I know many of you little fellows are lonely and not expecting a visit from Santy. As a present, I have some Bilstein Porn for you to enjoy: |

I have already replaced it with a Ford explorer towing a 2005 Kawasaki zx10r. I had done autocross and the drag strip with my 135, but a track day on top of a rocket that puts me on one wheel accelerating out of turns and I have completly forgotten about that electronically handicap dct hesitating frustration machine. I have been thinking about getting a fun car lately, but it will be something mid-engine and from the 90's.

Agree, nothing comes close to being on a racetrack on a bike. I don't care how fast the car is. |

Loved my Techno Violet on Mulberry E36 M3, but certainly don't miss it. The only older BMW's interested in owning at this point are pre-1991 or something like an E46 M3. And I've already got an E30 that I drive almost daily.
