How to remove BMW badge on trunk lid?

Hey guys,
I'd like to remove the badge (rondelle?) on the back of my trunk lid because it's starting to look rough. Must have some moisture under or inside it I guess. How is it attached? How can it be removed? Is there a hole in the deck lid or is the badge just glued on? It's a 2012 135. Thanks for any advice.

It has two posts on the roundel itself that go into two plastic sleeves in the trunk. First time is a really tight fit (lol) and lots of people scratch theirs up getting it off. But if you're replacing it anyway, just pull it off with whatever you've got without damaging the paint around it. I used a hooked pick
