I'm still running the stock FMIC for now.

I posted the following in another thread as well, and just copied it to here...

I installed my ER CP and Synapse BOV last night that I bought from Mike @ N54tuning..I will try to get some good HD video up ASAP. My thoughts...Awesome! I love this thing. Fit and finish was OE like, and I could not be more happy with the Synapse BOV. It is a really nice looking and functioning design, and sounds amazing as well! It is a nice deep wooosh!!

Note: My car is a Nov. 2008 build '09 MY 135i, and the one piece charge pipe made for the later 2009 build cars works perfectly.

So you ended up going with the 1 piece 09 May+ version? Can you post pics?

Thanks. The new design looks way cleaner. No plans to run meth?

No meth. I had a 800hp car before. Don't need that thrill anymore, or the hassle. I plan on keeping things strictly bolt on with no additional power adders.

A few asked about the differences between the 07-08 shorter pipe and the 09+ pipe (longer pipe with included elbow) so I am attaching a pic.

This charge pipe is for the N54 so not compatible with the N55.

I like the full piece pipe. The 09+ pipe will work on all 07-08 cars and just replaces the flimsy stock rubber elbow.

Mike,

I want to know is it possible to buy the pipe setup for a tialq bov and meth bung in black but not purchase the actual bov? I have the tialq bov on a different charge pipe but I want the ER charge pipe because of the OE like connections (the one I have uses clamps and it keeps popping off.) So if I can buy just the pipe that would be perfect and I can use the bov I have. Can you please let me know thanks.

So the purpose is looks and sound, correct? I like the sound of bov and don't car about the aesthetics of a charge pipe. Can the bov be installed on a stock car without a charge pip?
