Wow that's crazy. Would expect the 1M to do better than that considering slightly more power and less weight.

1M is probably on pump gas on some crappy tune... The M3 is blasting with that DCT... need race gas or e85 to run the m3... no other way. Makes it worse when you are a 6MT.

I doubt that 1M is making even close to as much as the M3. I would bet that 1m is putting down 360-370 at the wheels based on the listed horsepower rating. I know many european shops use dynapack dynos to test so they usually work in BHP not WHP. Even if the 1m is putting down 400whp, the S55 has been dyno'd well above 400whp in stock form, BMS Dyno'd one at 427whp stock.

This just goes to show us how much the F8x cars are underrated in the Hp department.

Yup. 1Ms claim to fame was fun and excitement not checking number boxes.

The M3/M4 is a beast and the first track ready, non-limited production ///M car produced. I just wished the S55 could sound like the S65.

Something is not quite right as a 1M with those mods and a tune should run similar to the M3. I have driven the F80 M3 and its not that much faster. It certainly has less lag than the 1M.

Anyone that's driven the new m3/4 would know it's way way faster than a 1m

Now we know how much faster

It shouldn't suprise us that the M3 is faster, it should be faster, the video show how much faster it is. M division have always underrated the HP area of their cars, and the M3 is a BMW icon, and it should be that much faster. I am definitely not jealous of that, in fact I applaud BMW for keeping the M3/M4 true to form. Its a one heck of a machine, even when the US cars are catching on with these muscle car war ie Hellcat, Z28, Mustang GT350 (which is a helluva car ...coming soon)even British invasion of Jaqs. I believe the M3/M4 is still a really good saloon perfect for dd duties, and occasional track duties without breaking a sweat and comfortably seats 4.

So way to go BMW, and congrats to all new M3/M4 owners.

New M3 is so much quicker, and handles so much better then the old one, manual 1M is quite slow in comparison

A FBO 335i running meth vs stock M4

The 1M FBO running 93 may have 30hp less at the wheels but the difference won't be this much as in dusted by the M3 vs pulling on the M4.

A 1M FBO is a beast if anyone has driven one.

The question is will BMW allow the M2 to be faster than the M3/M4? Or just pull a Porsche? The 1Ms got no chance unless they go beyond the FBO and put a better turbo.

something is definitely wrong with the 1M. i drive both cars almost everyday, and i'm quite sure my FBO-ed 1M is similar, if not, faster than the F80/2.

Anyway.. anyone wants to do a rematch video?

Gonna say this one last time... a 1M on a pump gas tune and all the mods w a 6mt will get its ass dusted by a stock F80. Run it on an E85/meth or race gas tune... that changes the story massively... well until the F80 runs e85 or race gas. lol
