I also had this happen once when I let the car sit running on a hill when it was about a year old.

I then did start having problems with my oil level sensor not reading any incremental changes between full and minimum. It would go from reading full to reading minimum or below with nothing in between, and would often go back to reading full again even if I only added half a quart. This was definitely a nuisance on track days when I want to make sure it is topped up.

I replaced my oil level sensor, but my engine burns very little oil currently because I have never seen it show anything other than full since replacement. Are usually get about a tablespoon at most of oil in my OCC during a typical oil change interval.

I changed my sensor a few years back, but I am not getting a default code for the current sensor. Going to drive and see how this goes, might change it out again if necessary, but I know the oil level is fine so the sensor is either faulty or giving incorrect readings and will reset over time.

OK, my car was still reading minimum - Drove for about 30mins and got on a level road and the car reads maximum full.

The reason I am posting/bumping in this thread - Do not freak out if you get this minimum oil warning, IMO if there is no leak, you are up to date on your service, it is just a faulty reading, that will resolve or is a bad sensor.
