iCarbon out of business?

I've been trying to get ahold of iCarbon through both email and by phone, Last week I called everyday at different times and never got an answer. And this week I called and got a message saying the number has been disconnected. Anyone know what's going on?

Supposedly they are coming back in October with a full batch of products. This is "supposedly" though. So take it with a grain of salt.

yeah well all I'm saying is it's one thing to forget to call someone back, but for that person to call them back and realize their number has been disconnected? I hate how everyone is always so in the dark.

I thought it was a hoot a few weeks ago, when iCarbon posted here saying they were ramping up production, and promising a whole new customer service attitude. A bunch of people on here cheered and applauded them for their new commitment to be responsive. But talk is cheap. Looks like the same old way of doing business, if you ask me.

+1. YuP! Time to checkout their FaceBook(aka the KgB) page to see where (around the world) they will be visiting! Same ol' iCarbon BS.

That is why I am heavily trying to push Scopione to make more Carbon Fiber products for our cars, since we can't depend on iCarbon and there are no other players in the market. But they need to be shown that people will buy. They have already seen it with 50+ diffuser sales and hopefully once the front lip comes out they will be shown as well and then I can convince them to do a hood / trunk.

you guys have to realize its simple economics. no demand = no supply. plus the 1-series market is so small its not even worth it from a company standpoint I'm surprise they stuck around.the 1 series market is so small and even smaller when it comes down to the people actually modding them. I would have already left and found a new market like the 3-series market. just the way it works. business is business.

For a 400$ price difference you can go put your own honeycomb grills if you don't like them. They are barely different than the iCarbon ones.

True that, Scopione told me the same thing via email. But after they saw how many diffusers they sold then they were open to replicating a lip in carbon fiber already on the market. But not making their own design since that would cost to much $ and resources.

Thats the problem. For $700 I didn't get what I paid for.
Like he said be smart with your money....and when it comes to any icarbon product, the smart choice is to run away!

I was really looking forward to trying to pick up one of their trunks, I hope someone else comes out with something similar.

Yes and for the $400 price diff i expect to get something cheaper, hence the shitty metallic wannabe looking grills that arent even grills theyre just sheets are really shitty fake metal sorta pasted on behind the diffuser or something. Id rather pay the manufacturer a little more money and have them make a very nice product i am completely happy with.

I dont purchase expensive mods with the expectation of receiving them and then pumping more money and time into making them meet my original expectation..

So you would rather pay 800$ for a diffuser that has semi better looking honeycomb mesh that you can only tell up close vs a 400$ diffuser that you can go to home depot and buy any kind of mesh you want for 20$? Ok.
