[quote=Jon@Jlevi SW;218303]Hey guys
We had such success with the V-35 hood for the 335i that we co-developed with Vorsteiner that we decided to get a head-start on the design work for the 135i while they are busy wrapping up some other projects |

The longer vents are sleek and subtle, matching up with the hood lines. This looks more appropriate on a BMW.
The other vents look a bit ricey ... IMO ...

In other words, more potential customers will appreciate the longer vents with its sleek and subtle design whereas fewer potential customers will like the ricey vents.

Is all the heat escaping from the gaping hole in the hood gonna have me sitting in traffic watching the world in a psychadelic swirl?
I know someone who cut holes in his hood to look cool and all the heat distorts the view out the windshield so bad that its annoying. |

I'm not sure about the eyelid/extended hood designs yet. The first design is def. better than the first by looking at the drawing. Keep working it though.

Interesting. Most of our 3 series and 5 series customers all pester us to make a vented race hood until we finally do it! When Vorsteiner came out with the Powerdome hood for the 335i, people nagged us nonstop to come out with a hood, and Vorsteiner was super busy working on their Porsche V-GT, so we took it upon ourselves, and the V-35 was born. It's now a pretty great seller!
Maybe we will do a power-dome hood (has a dome like the M3) with some eyelid type projections, and then a vented hood for the 1 series as well... |

what you should do it a FEED style hood like on the FD rx7s.. it's very simple and you'd sell ALOT of them.. just make sure the price is in the 500-850 range...

IMO, the Feed style hood scoop should be left for japanese cars, like the Mazda RX7, Subaru STI, and Mitsubishi Evo. For a BMW? No thanks.

I like the hoods. I don't really have a preference but I think they're pretty cool. I'd definitely be interested in something like that if I was going to do a lot of performance mods, which for me will probably be a few years down the road.
What's different about the boot lid? I can't tell anything from those drawings. |

The CSL boot lid has a larger integrated spoiler.
Take a closer look at the picture: For comparison, M3 with regular boot lid. M3 with CSL boot lid. Notice the larger arch created by the larger integrated spoiler.
