Brightest angels out for the 1

Which ones are the brightest angels out for the 1 right now? That you can actually see in the sun...

From what I have seen the factory setup are the brightest and most visible followed by:
GP thunders
RD led.

The other option that I have seen are people putting HID H8 in the angel eyes and these are the absolute brightest but I do not know if they are safe.

My honest opinion

Your brightest option will be a full HID kit. With that said, if you aren't after a complete kit, the LED setups like the WeissLicht and RD will be the brightest available. Halogen replacements like the Xenesis and GP Thunders will be bright but not as nice of a color.

Hey Nick been meaning to ask, do you have pics of the WL on Jon's car compared to the RD on yours?

Last weekend I was the guinea pig for a new LED option, chesterfan here on the board is developing them with *******. No error codes, brighter both night and day than anything else I've seen other than full replacements, and not too expensive. There was one bug (flickering when turning on low beams since the car cuts the voltage to the angels when doing so and there was a slight oversight when designing them regarding this) but the kinks should be worked out soon from what I gather!

i think the new angelibrights have a even brightness between the inner and outer halos. I think that is more important than brightness, at least for me. You should check the ibrights on e90.

Not running the RD on my car, I have 3000k halogen bulbs for a true Superman theme

We will do some comparison pictures later on, haven't had a chance to shoot them side by side.

I ordered the weisslichts from jlevi and they should be coming this week. A good friend of mind has the RDs on his 1. I'll do a comparison next time we meet up and take pictures if I can.

Hasn't been released yet. But here's a teaser:

Save your $$, nothing on the market will come close.

You're seeing the tester on our 1-series project now, new 1-series heatsinks are being machined next as well as LED driver packs.

We should be shipping mid-October. A new thread will be started when closer to release.

Tom, is that the same one where you've to drill a hole on the headlight cover to run wires? Or was that something else?

No sir, these will not feature an external wiring harness - everything will be retained within the headlight like OEM.
