Providing the amount of units BMW sells in the states, wouldn't you think
pleasing the US market's customers with all available selections/options,as a thank-you,will be the minimum they can do.I don't think BMW AG will lose money in the process, they've made a lot of money selling their cars in the states. Why can't we get the M package, lemon interior, individual etc. right away? Also I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to provide beige interior in the same style as terra and lemon as well. The contrast between beige and black on the door panels will look terrific. |

I'll bet if you really tried, you could get it.

BMW NA decides what to market here. Let them know what you want.
The E92 is coming with more interior color options than the E90. I would expect some of these new colors to find their way into the E90 too. |

It's a small world,It's like having certain selections available in TX and not in MA. Who is deciding on these things, maybe they shouldn't offer certain exterior colors in the states then. |

People in the US will sue BMW because the leather is so light and hard to keep clean.

I agree with Agni, I think US customers would complain too much about keeping a light color interior clean.
Imagine the warranty claims for people with stained Lemon interiors from thier designer jeans. I wonder if a damage exclamer would help (similar to the warning they have about low profile tires).

"Those who opt for lighter color leather or leatherette interiors should be aware dyes in certain garmets can bleed through and stain the surface. BMWNA and all of its affiliates are not responsible for damage to the surfaces in any way, shape, or form." It shud be on the plastic on the leather seats when people pick up the ir new car. (i.e. such as the airbag warning on the visors of many cars as of late) |

Lemon looks great, IMHO, so I am prepared to put up with the frequent cleaning. I do like my cars to be spotless inside and FYI I have cleaned the driver's seat twice so far and I have only done 800 miles (and I try not to wear dark jeans!).

No, it isn't worse than the beige I had on my e39 and TBH it isn't hard to wipe it down once a week or so with leather cleaner. IMO, the interior as a whole is easier to keep clean than the beige, because apart from the seats, everything is black.

I think the lemon interior is the sexiest by far... but I'd be interested in hearing what other people have to say about keeping it clean. I'm a little worried about buying it then dreading it. Any other tips?
thanks, |
